Got to see BG play a solo show at the Palace of Fine Arts last night. So magical. He tried saying something about setting the bar too high playing in a “palace” for “fine arts”, but he brought his A-game. Played his solo material as well as tracks from Death Cab and Postal Service. He switched off between guitar and piano during the set, even played “San Francisco (Be Sure to Wear Flowers in Your Hair)” in tribute to the late Scott McKenzie before sending us off with this little gem, as he’s oft want to do..

My friends are on tour with Death Cab for Cutie right now. No big deal. JKJK it’s a very big deal!! The amazing Minna Choi and 8 Magik*Magikers totally upstaged Ben and the boys.
