It&#8217;s part of this summer concert series they&#8217;re doing, where they&#8217;re featuring a local band each Fri/Sat/Sun starting this weekend through July. My days are all blurring together) I got to be in another Thao &amp; the Get Down Stay Down video. We spent the day on the amazing Bernal Hill, taking in spectacular views of the best city ever. Unfortunately, most of the footage from our shoot didn&#8217;t make the final cut for the official video. Nonetheless it&#8217;s still a great video and if you look carefully you might see my forehead somewhere in there. (I did!) There are still five more weeks worth of chances to come see it, but don’t sleep on getting your tickets! It’s a small theater, so I’m almost certain that we will sell out some of those last dates!!! Ch-ch-check out <a href="http://altarena.org" target="_blank">altarena.org</a> for more deeeets.</p> <p>Highlights of opening weekend include.. 1) A little old lady shyly asking me if I always knew I wanted to sing and act, 2) My music director’s wife (who met us at the very beginning of rehearsals and hadn’t seen/heard us since) telling me that I made her cry during the support group song “Will I?” because I looked like I was in so much pain, and 3) Grabbing a little old couple’s hands in the finale and having them grab their other elderly friends next to them and dance along while I sang to them.</p> <p>And now a much needed break before returning to the theater on Friday.
